Supalai Supports Lampang Province in Wildfire Prevention Efforts,
Donates Equipment to Help Mitigate Haze and PM2.5
Supalai Public Company Limited continues its commitment to sustainable urban development alongside environmental stewardship through its ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives. In support of wildfire prevention and mitigation of haze and fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in Northern Thailand, the Company has donated surveillance and field-operation equipment to relevant agencies in Lampang Province during the event “Lampang Province Kick-off Campaign for Wildfire, Haze, and PM2.5 Mitigation,” held at Phitayutthayanyong Field, the Territorial Defence Student Training Center, 32nd Military Circle, Surasak Montri Camp, Lampang Province.
On this occasion, Mr. Saichon Luemkham, Senior Director, Regional Project Division 4, Supalai Public Company Limited, represented the Company in presenting the equipment worth a total of THB 99,000 to Khao Luang National Park. The equipment will be utilized to enhance surveillance, detection, and monitoring capabilities in high-risk areas in a timely manner.
The event was officiated by Mr. Wiwat Inthaiwong, Governor of Lampang Province, highlighting the strong collaboration among all sectors in safeguarding natural resources while protecting public health amid recurring wildfire and haze situations—particularly during January to April each year—which significantly affect air quality across many northern provinces, including Lampang.
The donated equipment includes CCTV cameras with installation accessories and internet connectivity, enabling continuous real-time forest surveillance. This enhances early detection accuracy of fire outbreaks or smoke plumes, reduces response time, and supports faster and more effective incident planning. In addition, the system strengthens operational data collection and communication for alerts in the field.
Additional support includes a two-stroke leaf blower to help clear combustible materials along firebreak lines and assist field operations; a rugged mobile phone for GPS location tagging, data recording, and communication during wildfire patrol missions, as well as for connecting live feeds from CCTV; and a DJI Mini 4K drone to conduct aerial assessments, monitor fire and smoke lines at an early stage, reduce risks to personnel, and improve overall wildfire incident management efficiency.
Supalai is proud to contribute to environmental and social well-being and remains committed to supporting cooperation with Lampang Province to reduce open-burning risks, raise public awareness, and protect Thailand’s natural resources sustainably for the long term.
