Supalai Srangdee teams up with “Metta Barber” to host the “Song Mai, Chai Fu” activity,
visiting construction sites to provide free haircuts-promoting hygiene and helping reduce
living costs for workers.
Supalai Public Company Limited continues its commitment to corporate social responsibility through its “Supalai Srangdee” initiative by organizing the “Song Mai, Chai Fu” activity. The program aims to support construction workers and their families-key contributors to the development of quality housing. The activity was led by Mr.Kittipong Sirilugtrakun Deputy Managing Director, and
Ms.Tanwarat Punyaratana, Assistant Managing Director of Marketing and Sales, who closely
engaged on-site in a warm and friendly atmosphere at Supalai Park Ville Bang Khaem project in
Nakhon Pathom Province.
For this Supalai Srangdee “Song Mai, Chai Fu” activity, it was organized as a “Pop-up Salon,” offering free haircuts directly at the construction site. The initiative builds on a strong partnership with the volunteer group “Metta Barber,” led by Ms. Metta Tubtim, a former Assistant Business Editor, Prachachat Turakij with over 35 years of experience in journalism, who has been providing volunteer haircut services for society since 2016. She was joined by “Kru Noi,” a volunteer hairstylist from the Bangkok Vocational Training School (Din Daeng). Together, they helped ease workers’ financial burdens and time constraints, while also promoting proper personal hygiene suited to the construction site environment.
This service was attended by more than 50 participants, including construction workers, their children, as well as housekeeping staff and gardeners. In addition to enhancing a clean and well-groomed appearance, the activity also helped reduce the accumulation of dirt and humidity caused by hot and humid weather conditions-contributing positively to scalp health and boosting confidence in daily life. The event also featured ice cream, snacks, and beverages, creating a joyful and welcoming atmosphere for the workers and their families. This reflects the concept of “Song Mai, Chai Fu” which aims to inspire positive transformation both externally and internally.
In the past, Supalai has continuously prioritized the welfare of construction workers across multiple dimensions, including health and daily living. The company has provided regular basic healthcare services, as well as eye care support through the Vision for Happiness initiative. This year, Supalai has further expanded its efforts through the Supalai Srangdee “Song Mai, Chai Fu” program, which enhances support in terms of personal grooming and hygiene-complementing its holistic approach to worker well-being.
Supalai continues to operate its business under a sustainable development approach. Through the “Supalai Srangdee” initiative, the company is committed to delivering value and demonstrating responsibility toward all stakeholders-including communities, society, and the environment. At the same time, Supalai places strong emphasis on construction workers, who are the foundation of quality housing development, while continuously and sustainably enhancing their quality of life.
